EDITORIAL GUIDELINES
Submission Process
Format: Submit your article here as a Word document or Google Doc. Include your name, an article summary, and any supplemental portfolio materials.
Word Count: Articles should be between 600 to 1,800 words. Pieces containing imagery, industry expert material, and quantifiable data will be prioritized.
Deadline: Final draft copies are due before the 1st of each month. If the edited copy is not submitted by 12AM at the end of the month, work will be postponed until the following calendar month. After 2 months of failed finalizations, the article is rejected. Please follow through on your hard work!
Content Requirements
Originality: All submissions, imagery, and footage must be original content and not previously published elsewhere. We will check. Lack of multi-platform disclosure will subject your work for immediate rejection and removal. Affiliate links not associated with Hailey’s Archive are not accepted.
Topics: Hailey’s Archive only publishes content within the lifestyle sector. Lifestyle topics include: health and wellness, fashion, music, travel, food, home design, individual blogging, new small business or LLC campaign awareness, and personal development. Articles not abiding by such topics will be subject to immediate rejection.
Tone: Maintain an engaging, conversational tone that resonates with our audience. Articles consisting of defamatory, name-dropping, or otherwise inappropriately and unjustly image-tarnishing content are subject to immediate rejection.
Style and Formatting
Headlines: Create compelling headlines that capture attention in 5-7 words.
Subheadings: Use subheadings to break up sections and improve readability.
Citations: Include citations for any data, statistics, or quotes from other sources. We fact check. Lack of citation will subject your work for immediate rejection.
Images: If applicable, submit high-resolution images (with proper licensing) to accompany your article.
Review Process
Response Time: If accepted for review, you will receive an initial email response within 48-72 business hours. First draft edits will be sent via email within 2-4 weeks or sooner.
Editing: Hailey's Archive reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, and style. Authors will receive the final draft copy previous to publishing.
Publishing & Promotion: Hailey’s Archive does not advertise for monetary benefit at this time. All published articles are assumed free of commission benefits. We hope to adjust this in the future; due to the nature of H.A.’s small business, it is unfortunately not offered until growth permits.
Rights
Copyright: Authors retain the copyright to their work but grant Hailey's Archive the right to publish and promote it.
AI Usage & Disclaimers: Authors retain the right to use AI in their work but must identify usage to the editor. Lack of identification will subject your work for immediate rejection.
Removal: Authors retain the right to request removal from haileysarchive.com and its subsidiaries via email request.
